The second Tzadik release of recorded works by composer Jose Maceda features one of his most ambitious large scale work, Strata. Beautifully recorded in Manila at the University of the Philippines of under the direction of Maceda’s long term collaborator Ramon P. Santos and Mills College colleague Chris Brown this is a long awaited follow-up to the seminal Gongs and Bamboo released in 2001.

Also included are Sujeichon (2002) and Music for Two Pianos and Four Percussions Groups (2000).
