Advisory Board |

The first advisory board was composed of Dr. Claro T. Llaguno, Chairman (ex-officio) and Dr. Corazon M. Raymundo was the Vice-Chairman (ex-officio) of the Advisory Board. The members are Dr. Jose Maceda, as Executive Director with Dr. Corazon Dioquino, Dr. Ramon Santos, Dr. Eufracio Abaya, and Dr. Ernesto Constantino as Directors. Later, Mrs. Marialita Yraola replaced Dr. Constantino. Like the three other directors, Mrs. Yraola worked with Dr. Maceda for several years in the 1970s and did field studies in Mindanao and Luzon. She is knowledgeable on the details of the various collections, files and has a wide experience in transcription and translation of song texts. Mrs. Yraola also attended a workshop at the Archives and Research Centre for Ethnomusicology in New Delhi where she met with archivists from Africa, Indonesia, Sudan, Peru, Australia and Hong Kong, from whom she learned of particular problems, views, supports and researches. In 2004, upon the demise of Dr. Jose Maceda, Dr. Ramon Santos was appointed Executive Director. Dr. Santos, composer-musicologist, was the former Dean of the UP College of Music. |
